European Christmas Market in Seoul

Since 2010, the local authorities of Seongbuk-dong in Seoul have been organising the annual European Christmas Market in the style of Advent markets in European cities. The Embassy of Croatia participated this year as well, along with some fifteen other embassies of European countries. At two booths, Korean importers sold products made in Croatia: processed truffle products by Zigante Tartufi d.o.o., “Dida Boža” jams by Hermes International d.o.o. and bakery products by Mlinar Pekarske Industrije d.o.o. The Market had a humanitarian purpose - most of the income from product sales was donated for poorer multicultural families in Seongbuk-dong. The Market was opened by the Mayor of Seongbuk-dong Lee Seung-ro, accompanies by a series of Seongbuk-dong Councillors and Ambassadors from European countries. Despite the cold weather and rain, there were many visitors like every year.
