Presentation of the book Story of the Josip Stadler, the First Archbishop of Sarajevo

On Sunday, October 26, 2025, a presentation of the book by Archbishop Henryk M. Jagodzinski, Apostolic Nuncio in Pretoria, entitled The Story of Josip Stadler, the First Archbishop of Sarajevo, was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Pretoria, the Apostolic Nunciature in Pretoria, and the Croatian Catholic Mission of St. Jerome in Johannesburg.  The book was originally written in 2020 in the Polish language and recently translated into Croatian in Sarajevo in 2025, which was the main reason for the presentation of this edition of the book.

The guests gathered in the premises of the Croatian Catholic Mission of St. Jerome were warmly welcomed by Fr. Marin Dašek, a priest who recently took over the pastoral care of the Croatian emigrant community in South Africa. Afterward, Ambassador Ante Cicvarić addressed the gathering, briefly presenting the biography of Archbishop Josip Stadler, and then Archbishop Henryk M. Jagodzinski, the Apostolic Nuncio in Pretoria, addressed the gathering, presenting the book and reflecting on his stay in Sarajevo. It was an opportunity for pleasant socializing in the premises of the Croatian Catholic Mission of St. Jerome in Johannesburg with members of the Croatian emigrant community.
