Support for Ukraine, stability in the Mediterranean – Croatia’s priorities at FAC, ministerial meeting

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman participated on Monday and Tuesday, July 14 and 15, 2025, in the 5th EU-Southern Neighbourhood Ministerial Meeting, as well as in the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC), held in Brussels.
 
He emphasized Croatia’s role as a Mediterranean bridge between Central and Southeast Europe and highlighted the need for the Mediterranean to remain high on the EU’s strategic agenda. At FAC, exchanging views with Ukrainian Minister Andriy Sybiha, Grlić Radman reaffirmed Croatia’s strong support for Ukraine and stressed the importance of continuing comprehensive European assistance, including the strengthening of defence capacities, as well as the need for a joint response to the security challenges posed by the current situation.
 
The minister also took the opportunity to hold numerous meetings with counterparts from EU member states and representatives of partner countries from the Southern Neighbourhood and the Middle East, during which they exchanged views on current regional and global issues.
