On 21 November 2024, the Government of the Republic of Croatia adopted a Decision on the Call for Elections for the President of the Republic of Croatia.
The elections will be held on Sunday, 29 December 2024, at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ireland (Adelaide Chambers, Peter Street, Dublin 8), from 7:00 to 19:00 hours.
Voters who wish to exercise their right to vote at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Dublin, must submit a request for active registration or pre-registration via the e-Građani system or by email (
croemb.dublin@mvep.hr or
crocons.dublin@mvep.hr), where it is necessary to send a completed and signed form depending on the type of registration.
Voters who have a place of residence in the Republic of Croatia, but will not be in their place of residence in the time of the elections,
can request pre-registration if they wish to vote abroad.
Voters who do not reside in the Republic of Croatia and do not have an ID card with residence information outside the Republic of Croatia,
must submit a request for active registration in order to vote abroad or in the Republic of Croatia.
Voters who have been an ID card with residence information outside the Republic of Croatia do not need to apply for active registration, but will be
ex officio actively registered for the country and consular area according to the address of residence entered in the ID card UNLESS they will be in the area of another diplomatic mission or consular office of the Republic of Croatia abroad or in the Republic of Croatia on election day, in which case they must apply for a change of place of active registration.

The deadline for submitting applications expires on Wednesday, 18 December 2024 at 23:00 Irish time.
With regard to the possibility of holding a second round of voting, voters can simultaneously, when submitting a request for active registration or pre-registration, for the first round of voting, submit a request for a second round of voting.
In the event of a second round of voting, voters may submit a new request for active registration or pre-registration immediately after the date of the second round of voting has been determined, and no later than 10 days before the day of the second round of voting, and they may amend the previously submitted request or withdraw from it.
