Minister Grlić Radman meets with UEA deputy prime minister, foreign minister

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman received the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for an official visit on Monday, August 26, 2024.
 
Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in various sectors, particularly economy. Agreements were reached to intensify collaboration in the fields of the food, wood, and pharmaceutical industries, energy, and shipbuilding. On this occasion, two Memorandums of Understanding were signed - one on mutual recognition of driver's licenses, signed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Davor Božinović, and the other on political consultations. These memorandums further deepen the already existing cooperation between the two countries.
 
In addition to economic issues, views were exchanged on important global political topics, including the situation in Ukraine, the Middle East, and other crisis regions around the world. Grlić Radman informed Sheikh Al Nahyan about current developments in Southeast Europe.
 
This visit reaffirmed the readiness of both countries to further strengthen their partnership and work together towards achieving common goals and interests in international frameworks. The visit further solidified the excellent bilateral relations between the Republic of Croatia and the United Arab Emirates.
