The first match of the U18 national team of the Republic of Croatia at the European Championship was played in Tampere

Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the Republic of Finland accepted Basketball Finland's invitation to participate in the FIBA ​​U18 EuroBasket. Finland's Sudenpennut (Wolf Cubs) is the host of the FIBA ​​U18 EuroBasket, which takes place in Tampere from July 27 to August 4, 2024, where the best young European basketball players have arrived this summer. There are 16 teams competing at the FIBA ​​U18 EuroBasket in Tampere, Finland, Croatia, Lithuania, Spain, Serbia, Turkey, Sweden, Slovenia, Germany, Latvia, France, Italy, Belgium, Greece, Israel and Denmark. The championship opened on July 27th, between the men's U18 basketball team of Croatia and Belgium from Group A, in which the Croatian team was defeated despite the juniors showing strength and desire to win.
The men's U18 team was led by the professional staff led by coach Roko Jurlina, HKS instructor Zdravko Radulović, and other members of the professional staff. On behalf of the Embassy of Croatia in Helsinki, the basketball match was accompanied by Ms. Svjetlana Čičak, minister-counsellor and chargé d'affaires, who greeted the professional staff and juniors and wished them the best possible results in the continuation of the championship.
