Minister Grlić Radman participates in round table on Europe Day

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman participated on Saturday as an envoy of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia in a round table on the occasion of Europe Day organized by the Croatian Paneuropean Union and the Hanns Seidel Foundation.

The central theme of the round table was the upcoming elections for the European Parliament.

Grlić Radman emphasized that Croatian citizens will, in less than a month, participate for the fourth time in European elections.

It was concluded at the round table that after ten years of membership in the European Union, we can highlight the role of EU citizens and that these elections have become an integral part of our social and political life. Croatian citizens increasingly perceive the importance and role of European elections, which is reflected in the gradual increase in voter turnout for the European Parliament elections.

The minister emphasized the importance of recording higher turnout and clear support from citizens for pro-European forces in the upcoming European elections.

The Croatian Paneuropean Union, as the organizer of the event, underscored that given today's geopolitical circumstances, these elections take on particular importance, and it is extremely important that Europe remains united and strong even after these elections, ready to continue dealing with all geopolitical challenges in an ever-changing and increasingly complex world.

Also present at the event were the President of the Croatian Paneuropean Union, Pavo Barišić, the Director of the Hanns Seidel Foundation Office in Zagreb, Aleksandra Markić Boban, Member of the European Parliament Karlo Ressler, Member of the Croatian Parliament Davor Ivo Stier, and the Honorary President of the Croatian Paneuropean Union, Mislav Ježić.
