As part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Council of Europe and the project to enhance the organization's visibility, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Monday hosted the presentation of the book "75 Years of the Council of Europe" by Ambassador Vladimir Matek. The presentation was also attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, and the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić.
As a valuable contribution to a better understanding of contemporary European relations and the role of the Council of Europe, Ambassador Matek's book offers a very high-quality overview of the functioning of CoE, the most important and oldest European organization for the protection of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. Since the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs is the publisher of the book, almost the entire edition will be donated to libraries and faculties, to be available to the public interested in European topics, as well as to researchers and students of European and international relations, geopolitics, foreign policy, diplomacy, political science, law, sociology, and economics.
