Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia Davor Vidiš met today with the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris, and the main topics of the meeting were related to the recent brutal attack on two Croatian citizens in Dublin, when, as a result of the attack, one Croatian citizen died and the other was injured.
Commissioner Harris reported that, due to the seriousness of the case, the Garda pays great attention to its resolution, the comprehensive investigation is moving in a positive direction and significant progress has been achieved so far. Regarding the further progress and results of the investigation, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Dublin will be in contact with the Irish Garda, which has assigned a liaison officer for direct communication with the Embassy.
The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Dublin has been in contact with the parents of the tragically deceased Croatian citizen and the injured Croatian citizen since learning of the brutal attack on two Croatian citizens. The Embassy provided all available consular assistance that was requested, and is still in contact with the Garda and the families in the context of further proceedings.
