Croats have been living in Bar "for centuries" and Croatia stands by them, Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman said in the Montenegrin town on Sunday.
"It should be more known that Croats live here too because when one says 'Croats in Bar', in Croatia they usually think of economic emigrants, yet Croats have been here for centuries," the minister said during his official visit to Montenegro.
He also attended mass in the Bar cathedral.
Last night, Grlić Radman and Croatian Defence Minister Ivan Anušić attended an event in Tivat celebrating Croatian People Day, organised by the Croatian National Council of Montenegro.
"We care about a pro-European Montenegro. We care about our neighbours. Croatia has no hidden agenda, we wish to help Montenegro," said Grlić Radman.
