Minister Grlić Radman meets with OECD Secretary-General Cormann

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman paid a visit to the OECD headquarters in Paris, where he met with OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann. The two officials signed the Agreement on Privileges and Immunities and the Agreement on Croatia’s Contribution to the Digital and Green Transition Project for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Western Balkans.
 
The latter forms the basis for strengthening regional innovativeness and digitalisation, underlining Croatia’s role in encouraging regional development and innovations. The project was developed by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in cooperation with the OECD Regional Programme for South East Europe, with Croatia contributing €1.2 million to it.
 
Grlić Radman reflected on Croatia’s OECD accession, emphasizing that we take the process seriously and with dedication, as shown by the progress made.
 
The minister also met with María del Pilar Garrido Gonzalo, the head of the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC), with whom he discussed strengthening Croatia’s role in DAC and the Project for the Reform of Development Cooperation Policy aimed at advancing strategic planning and the legislative framework on development assistance in Croatia.
 
In addition, Grlić Radman attended a high-level DAC meeting at which he highlighted Croatia’s contribution to mine action in Ukraine, with special emphasis on the Conference on Humanitarian Demining in Ukraine held in Zagreb last month, which mobilised close to half a billion euros in aid.
 
The minister was also a special guest to the OECD Friends of Southeast Europe group, where he spoke about Croatia’s development activities in the Western Balkans, underlining our continued commitment to regional development and stability.
