Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Thursday met with the Bishop of Banja Luka, Franjo Komarica. The talks focused on Croatia’s support for BiH Croats, preservation of Croatian national and cultural identity, and BiH’s European journey.
The meeting between Grlić Radman and Komarica represents a continuation of the excellent cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and Banja Luka Diocese, as well as Croatia’s support for the return of Croats who left the area during the Homeland War. Croatia continues to provide financial aid to all BiH Croats and to invest in transport and educational infrastructure, as well as in religious and cultural facilities. Grlić Radman also underscored Croatia’s strong support for BiH’s Euro-Atlantic journey, with the aim of launching accession talks before the end of the year.
Komarica thanked Grlić Radman for caring for BiH Croats, underlining that their status is vital for the country’s security, stability and functioning, as well as for the friendly relations with Croatia.
