On July 1st Croatia marked 10 years since its EU admission.
Celebrating the 10th anniversary, we are pleased to highlight that Croatia has fulfilled two strategic goals – joining the eurozone and the Schengen Area, making it one of only 15 countries that are simultaneously member states of NATO, EU, eurozone and the Schengen Area. The values on which the EU rests – unity and solidarity, which Croatia strongly advocates, are particularly important amidst the aggression on Ukraine, when security and energy stability of the entire European continent are topical issues. Croatia continues to actively participate in resolving the political, social and economic challenges that Europe is faced with in order to realize a safe, just and prosperous common European future.
In cooperation with numerous partners, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MVEP) marked the 10th anniversary both at home and at Croatia’s diplomatic and consular representations worldwide.
A conference on “The Transformative Power of EU Membership: Croatian, Irish and Danish Experience” was organized in cooperation with the Irish and Danish embassy, while a series of concerts, exhibitions, lectures and receptions were held at Croatia’s embassies and consulates.

The anniversary was also marked on June 28th at BOZAR in Brussels with a concert by the Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra and pianist Martina Filjak, conducted by Pascal Rophé.
On June 30th at the European Square in Zagreb, a film and music programme was organized in cooperation with the European Commission Representation.
