A group of Ukrainian children staying in Croatia as part of the Safer Together (Sigurniji Zajedno) Project visited the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs on Monday. The project is being run by the Croatia Helps (Hrvatska Pomaže) Association and financed by the Ministry. It aims to help Ukrainian children affected by war.
Ukrainian children stayed in Croatia last year as well, making this a continuation of the excellent cooperation with Ukraine. The Croatia Helps Association has been working for years with war victims, notably children as the most vulnerable group.
Minister Grlić Radman expressed his sympathies and support, precisely because of Croatia’s own experience in the Homeland War. “I’m happy that I’m here with you today, but I’m also sad that at such a young age you had to experience the loss of carefreeness that youth brings and war takes away,” he said.
