Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on Thursday received Christian students from developing countries who attend tertiary education in Croatia and receive Croatian scholarships under a government-sponsored programme.
The scholarship recipients are from India, Pakistan, Syria, South Sudan, Nigeria, Benin and Ethiopia, and the main initiator of this scholarship support scheme is parliamentarian Marijana Petir, while the implementation has been organised by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
During today's meeting, Plenković and the scholarship recipients exchanged views on their stay in Croatia, the country's educational system and the current challenges stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.
PM Plenković pledged further support to the Christian students from developing countries.
