State Secretary for Political Affairs Frano Matušić and Political Affairs Director-General Petar Mihatov on Monday held regular political consultations with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko as part of the 2021-2022 consultation plan between the two ministries.
Apart from reflecting on the status of Croatia-Russia bilateral relations ahead of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the officials also exchanged views on the situation in Southeast Europe, EU-Russia relations, international security and other foreign policy topics.
The Croatia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation was highlighted as a mechanism for stimulating economic exchange. The officials also underscored positive trends concerning Russian tourists visiting Croatia.
