All 26 Croats evacuated/repatriated from Afghanistan

As of today, all 26 Croatian citizens have been evacuated/repatriated from Afghanistan

As of today, all 26 Croatian citizens have been evacuated/repatriated from Afghanistan. This is the result of the efforts by deputy prime minister in charge of national security, Tomo Medved, head of Security and Intelligence Agency Daniel Markić, and head of Military Security and Intelligence Agency Ivica Kinder, coordinated by the Croatian Foreign Service. These included monitoring the situation in the field, coordination and cooperation with partner countries, and maintaining constant contact with the Croatian citizens.

As in the repatriation of Croatian citizens at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Croatian diplomatic missions and consular offices, together with the Ministry’s Directorate-General for Consular Affairs, have successfully ensured the return of all Croatian citizens to their homes.

The Ministry is using this opportunity to thank the American, British, German and Ukrainian authorities for assisting in their repatriation.
