Today with great pride we remember Operation Storm, which liberated most of then-occupied Croatian territory and returned it to Croatia’s legal and constitutional order, bringing about the hard-earned peace.
We also remember the founder of modern and sovereign Croatia and the first Croatian president Franjo Tuđman, as well as numerous defenders and patriots who were instrumental for the success of this magnificent operation. However, we must not forget the huge sacrifice selflessly paid by the Croats of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as our expats.
To all the Croats at home and abroad as well as all Croatian citizens, I congratulate the Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and Veterans Day!
