Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Tuesday received the farewell visit from the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim at the U. S. Embassy to Croatia, Victoria Jean Taylor.
Grlić Radman congratulated Taylor on the successful term of office, underscoring that the excellent cooperation between the Ministry and the U.S. Embassy had led to Croatia’s entering the visa waiver programme soon and the pending signing of a double taxation avoidance agreement.
The two officials also expressed satisfaction with a tighter bilateral cooperation in energy diversification, trade and defence. Grlić Radman said that the upcoming EU-U.S. summit in June presented an opportunity for the additional strengthening of transatlantic cooperation. The minister was also hopeful that the U.S. would support Croatia’s aspirations to join the OECD.
Chargé d'Affaires Taylor is to be succeeded by Mark Fleming.
