As member of the delegation of the European Union Mission to China and Mongolia, Ambassador Ante Simonić, along with another eleven ambassadors, visited Ulaan Baatar.
Head of the delegation was the EU Ambassador to China and Mongolia Markus Ederer. During a busy schedule, the delegation had separate meetings with the leadership of Mongolia: President Tsakhi Elbegdor, Prime Minister Norovynim Altankhuyag, Foreign Minister Luvsanvand Bold and Mining Minister Davaajava Gankhuyag.
Meetings were held in a very cordial and stimulating atmosphere. Current socio-political and economic situation in Mongolia, its relations with immediate neighbors, Russia and China, as well as the wider international community, were discussed.
On the sidelines of the rich program, Ambassador Simonić met with Honorary Consul of RC in Mongolia Purevdagva Bat-Erdene. Discussions were focused on the possibility of cooperation in agriculture, aviation transport and tourism.
Cooperation between veterinary drugs producer Genera from Zagreb and Mongolian company Biokombinat and the recent signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was highlighted.
