Former Croatian president Mesić visited China, 2011

Former President of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Stjepan Mesic paid a visit to China from 14 to 19 April 2011. Mr. Mesić participated in the 10th Asian Boao Economic Forum in the city of Shenzen, visited the largest Chinese telecommunications company Huawei and opened in the city of Yangzhou a memorial museum of Marco Polo. On the last day of stay in the People's Republic of China, Mr. Mesic gave a lecture in Beijing Chinese People's Institute of International Relations.

Former President of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Stjepan Mesic paid a visit to China from 14 to 19 April 2011. During his visit, he participated in the 10th Boao Asian Economic Forum, so called Asian Davos, in the city of Shenzen. Furthermore, he visited the largest Chinese telecommunications company Huawei, which also operates in Zagreb,. In the city of Yangzhou Mr. Mesić opened a memorial museum of Marco Polo. On the last day of stay in the People's Republic of China, Mr. Mesic visited the Beijing Chinese People's Institute of International Relations and delivered a lecture in which he talked about the genesis and the reasons of the disintegration of the ex Yugoslavia and the inevitable need for cooperation between states created on its territory.
During his stay in Shenzhen, he met with the President of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Hu Jintao, Russian President Medvedev, South African President Zum, former Japanese Prime Minister Fukuda, former French Prime Minister Raffarin and many other high-ranking officials and businessmen.
