Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman talked on Friday over the phone with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov. The two ministers exchanged views on the coronavirus pandemic, prospects of strengthening bilateral cooperation, cooperation within the EU Strategy on Central Asia, as well as cooperation within the UN and other international organizations.
Grlić Radman and Aidarbekov underscored satisfaction with the two countries’ respective non-residential diplomatic coverage, expressing belief that it would contribute to the quality of relations, notably in the area of economy. They stressed the importance of the recently initialled Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and Kyrgyz Republic, expressing hope that the agreement, as the basis for successful cooperation in the future, would be signed by the end of the year.
