Croatia's Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman said on Saturday that crimes committed in Srebrenica should be a permanent reminder of the importance of peace and democracy

Croatia's Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman said on Saturday that crimes committed in Srebrenica should be a permanent reminder of the importance of peace and democracy.

"Today, it is with the deepest respect that we commemorate the victims of Srebrenica, which was indisputably the venue of the worst war crimes and crimes against humanity in Europe after the Second World War," the Croatian minister stated on his Twitter account.

"A Great Serbia policy has left many innocent victims dead or missing whose destinies have not been known yet, and who are being searched by their families that hope that the truth will come to light," he added.

The Croatian minister said that the atrocities committed in Srebrenica also reminded everybody of the importance of rapid joint response to the appearance of policies that cause such grave crimes against humanity.
