Minister of Foreign and European Affairs on 10 July 2020 received Banja Luka Bishop Franjo Komarica. The two officials discussed the current affairs in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, notably the status of Croats and Catholic believers in the Banja Luka Diocese.
Komarica expressed belief that the next Croatian government would continue to politically and financially assist Croats in BiH. Grlić Radman confirmed that Croatia would unconditionally continue to pursue a policy aimed at achieving the best possible political and social status of BiH Croats. He reiterated that Croatia would continue to be the biggest advocate of the interests of BiH Croats as well as BiH in the EU.
In addition, Grlić Radman thanked the Catholic Church and Komarica for their persistent work on preserving the ethnic and religious identity as well as the cultural heritage of Croats in the Banja Luka Diocese. The bishop thanked the minister for his personal engagement in the protection of the rights and interests of BiH Croats, congratulating him on electoral results.
