cting Secretary-General at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Sebastian Rogač, on Friday participated in a video conference of EU state secretaries and secretaries-general. 

The main points on the agenda were the priorities of the upcoming German Council of the EU presidency, which were presented by State Secretary at the German Federal Foreign Office Miguel Berger, and a discussion on administrative matters, chaired by EEAS Secretary-General Helga Schmid.

Rogač highlighted the achievements of the Croatian Presidency amidst extraordinary circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Zagreb earthquake in March. The secretary-general applauded the focus on mitigating the impact of the pandemic, as well as on strengthening resilience and crisis management at EU level. “As a global actor, the EU should actively shape global response to the pandemic and crises through a multilateral framework and rule-based system,” said Rogač, underscoring that solidarity, along with stimulating sustainable and inclusive growth, remained crucial for reinstating full functionality of European economies.
