Following the Croatian Government's decision to offer humanitarian aid in the fight against COVID-19, a donation of protective medical gear was delivered to Albania on Wednesday.

Croatian Ambassador to Albania Zlatko Kramarić handed over the shipment to the Director General of the Albanian State Police, Ardi Veliu.

Addressing the ceremony, Kramarić emphasized the importance of unity in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak. He underlined friendly relations between the two countries and applauded the decision to launch accession talks with Albania, stressing that Croatia would continue to support its European journey.

Director General Veliu thanked for the donation, which highlighted the unity of the two nations in these trying times.

The transport and handover of protective equipment was organized by the Croatian Embassy in Tirana, in cooperation with Croatia's Ministry of the Interior.
