The Croatian Government has ensured commercial repatriation flights through Croatia Airlines, bringing 148 passengers back to Croatia tonight. In a coordinated effort by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, the passengers were flown to Zagreb from Italy, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.

Upon their arrival at Franjo Tuđman Airport, the passengers were examined by epidemiologists and asked to self-isolate for the following 14 days.

On Sunday evening, 37 Croatian nationals will arrive from Ancona, Italy, in Zadar on the Jelena catamaran provided by Jadrolinija.

In addition, bus transportation has been organized for the 118 Croatian nationals located in Tyrol, Austria, which is under lockdown. They are expected to arrive in Zagreb tomorrow evening.

"It is our constitutional obligation to care for our citizens abroad. We are aware that there are still Croatian nationals located in COVID-19 hotspots. Our diplomatic and consular offices will continue to work on repatriating as soon as possible all others who have asked for assistance in returning to their homeland," underscored Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman.
