FM attends conference on “Human Fraternity as the Foundation of Peace and Security”

Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman 5 January 2020 attended an international conference titled “Human Fraternity as the Foundation of Peace and Security”

Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman 5 January 2020 attended an international conference titled “Human Fraternity as the Foundation of Peace and Security”, organized by the Muslim World League and the Meshihat of Islamic Community in Croatia, in cooperation with the Croatian Conference of Bishops.

Addressing the panel on “Constructive Ideas for the Enhancement of Security and Peace”, Grlić Radman underscored that Croatia was proud and grateful that its Islamic Community stands as an example of a successful coexistence of different religious communities within one country, emphasizing the importance of interreligious and intercultural dialogue for peace and security.

“During Croatia’s EU presidency, which is a task we are proud of and which we took on with utmost responsibility, we want to contribute to a more quality dialogue among member states, as well as to a more quality dialogue between the EU and all other countries and regions in the world,” the minister said.

The conference was held as part of the Croatian EU Presidency programme.
