Croatia’s embassies in Beijing and Paris, together with the MFEA Consular Directorate and Permanent Representation of Croatia to the EU in Brussels, did all it took to evacuate the four Croatian citizens from Wuhan. Thanks to coordination and swift action with European partners, they will be quickly repatriated, their safety and health being the primary concern.
With France’s assistance, the Croatian citizens should arrive in southern France late in the morning. For safety reasons, they will stay in quarantine for 14 days before their return to Croatia.
The Ministry would like to thank the French and Chinese authorities as well as all actors involved for their assistance in organising the departure of the four Croatian citizens for Europe.
The Croatian Embassy in Beijing, in cooperation with the EU Delegation, continues to coordinate the member states’ measures to counter the novel coronavirus and offer consular assistance and support to Croatian nationals in China.
The Ministry advises against travelling to the Hubei region, while other regions should be avoided unless necessary.
