State Secretary for European Affairs Andreja Metelko-Zgombić 21 January 2020 met with a delegation of the Bundestag's EU Affairs Committee, led by its chair Gunther Krichbaum.
Metelko-Zgombić outlined the priorities of Croatia’s EU Presidency. The collocutors discussed all the current EU topics, including the MFF and enlargement.
The talks focused on the Conference on the Future of Europe, planned to launch on 9 May 2020, and the role of the EU member states’ national parliaments.
Metelko-Zgombić underscored that enlargement needed to stay in the EU’s focus, which is why it is one of the Croatian Presidency’s priorities.
