Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman 17 January 2020 held talks with the Austrian Federal Minister for European Affairs, Karoline Edtstadler, who was on an official visit to Croatia. The two officials underlined the exceptionally high level of relations between Croatia and Austria, two friendly countries with deep ties.
Grlić Radman congratulated Edtstadler on assuming the new duty and informed her about Croatia’s EU presidency priorities, notably the EU-Western Balkans Summit scheduled for May. The two officials underscored strong support for the continuation of EU enlargement policy as well as for the stability and security in Europe’s neighbourhood.
Grlić Radman and Edtstadler exchanged views on the challenges facing the EU: Brexit and the MFF. They also talked about the Green Deal and highlighted the need for a joint approach to the issue of migration.
Edtstadler congratulated Grliću Radmanu for Croatia’s first EU presidency, wish us successful and productive work in the following six months.
