Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman 18 December 2019 received on inaugural visit Canadian Ambassador to Croatia Alan Bowman.
The two officials underscored satisfaction with Croatia and Canada’s friendly and allied relations, highlighting the large Croatian diaspora in Canada as the best bridge between the two countries. Grlić Radman outlined Croatia’s EU presidency priorities. Bowman was particularly interested in the topics of demographics and enlargement, offering Canada’s assistance in those areas. The two officials expressed willingness to boost cooperation overall, as well as desire to continue deepening the Croatian-Canadian partnership.
