Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman 28 October 2019 met with representatives of the Swiss-Croatian Business Association for talks on economic relations and preparations for Croatia’s EU chairmanship.
Grlić Radman underscored that Croatia-Switzerland economic relations were traditionally very good, but that there was room for advancement, notably in industries such as pharmacy, electronics and food.
“Switzerland is at the high 12th places when it comes to foreign investments in Croatia. Although bilateral trade reached the record-high EUR 350 million last year, there’s great potential for increasing the exchange even further. In that context, our chambers of economy and business associations play an important role,” the Grlić Radman said.
The minister emphasized that there were 50 odd Swiss companies doing business on the Croatian market, adding that Croatia was ready for additional investments. In that regard, he informed the collocutors about the Croatian government’s activities to promote a stronger economic growth and development, as well as to attract foreign investments in Croatia.
