Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman 21 October 2019 received on inaugural visit Turkish Ambassador Mustafa Babur Hizlan.
The two officials underlined the excellent relations between Croatia and Turkey, expressing desire to intensify bilateral visits and meetings in the period ahead.
As the main areas of cooperation they highlighted economy, trade, investment, IT and culture. Bilateral economic relations could be additionally strengthened, which is where the Mixed Croatian-Turkish Economic Committee comes in, Grlić Radman and Hizlan agreed. They also discussed Croatia’s upcoming EU chairmanship and other topics of mutual interest, notably migration challenges and cooperation in the Mediterranean.
