Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman 16 October 2019 received on inaugural visit the Apostolic Nuncio to Croatia, Archbishop Giorgio Lingua.
Grlić Radman welcomed Lingua, expressing gratitude to the Holy See for its continual support and the traditionally friendly relations. The two officials underscored the excellent and historically close relations between Croatia and the Holy See, and talked about the current bilateral cooperation, highlighting the intensity of high-level visits. They also exchanged views on a number of topical matters. Archbishop Lingua is the sixth apostolic nuncio to Croatia since its independence.
