FM attends SEECP and CEI meetings, holds bilateral talks

On the margins of the 74th UN General Assembly session, Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman attended a meeting of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), organised by Kosovo as the initiative’s chair. The meeting focused on the priorities in this part of Europe, notably connectivity, energy and transport infrastructure, as well as prospects for young people to stay in their countries and tourist promotion.

Grlić Radman also participated in a meeting of the Central European Initiative (CEI), chaired by Italy, which discussed EU enlargement. The minister underscored Croatia’s strong support for the opening of accession talks with North Macedonia and Albania.

Throughout the day, Grlić Radman held a series of bilateral talks with the foreign ministers of Kosovo, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kuwait, Qatar and Kazakhstan. He also met with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi and Secretary-General of the Union for the Mediterranean Nasser Kamel.

Together with President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, Grlić Radman attended a meeting with OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurria. They discussed strengthening cooperation with this organisation which Croatia aspires to become a member of.
