Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman 20 September 2019 received on inaugural visit Romanian Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie.

The two officials underlined the excellent bilateral relations between Croatia and Romania as well as regional cooperation, pointing out great potential for the additional strengthening of economic cooperation, notably in the areas of energy, transport infrastructure and defence industry.

Grlić Radman applauded the opening of the Romanian Consulate in Split in March this year, which should further boost the growing tourist exchange. Both officials commended the successful cooperation within the EU presidency trio, comprised of Croatia, Finland and Romania. In that regard, Grlić Radman outlined Croatia’s preparations for and priorities of the Council of the EU chairmanship.
