Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman continued his visit to Austria with a meeting with the Bishop of Eisenstadt, Monsignor Egidije Živković.
Grlić Radman thanked Živković for the church’s contribution to the preservation of Burgenland Croats’ identity. He said that for centuries churches had been a place where Burgenland Croats could express their religion as well as nurture their language, tradition and culture, underlining that they could be proud of their integration into the Austrian society while preserving their identity.
The FM stressed that Croatia would honour its constitutional obligation and continue to care for Croats abroad, the preservation of their intently, culture and language, as well as their minority rights.
