State Secretary for European Affairs Andreja Metelko-Zgombić 14 June 2019 held talks with Wieslaw Tarka, Polish Foreign Ministry’s coordinator for the Berlin Process Summit 4-5 July 2019 in Poznan.
Tarka reported on the preparations for the Summit, which is to include meetings of heads of state and government, meetings of foreign, economy and interior ministers, as well as three accompanying events: a think tank forum, a civil society forum and a business forum. The priorities of Poland’s 2019 Berlin process presidency are connectivity, economy, civil society and security. All of said topics will be additionally considered through the prism of young people.
Metelko-Zgombić and Tarka also discussed the preparations for and priorities of Croatia’s Council of the EU presidency, which will include the EU prospects of Southeast Europe.
