On 20 May 2019 in Kiev, president-elect Volodymyr Zelensky was inaugurated as Ukraine’s new president. The ceremony was attended, in the capacity of the envoy of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, by State Secretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Zdravka Bušić, who is also the co-chair of the Croatia-Ukraine Cooperation Working Group.
Bušić had a brief talk with Zelensky about the development of the two countries’ bilateral relations as well as about Croatia’s continued support for Ukraine within the EU.
