Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 5 November 2018 received the minister for the Bulgarian presidency of the Council of the EU, Lilyana Pavlova, who was on a working visit to Croatia.
Pejčinović Burić congratulated Pavlova on successfully presiding over the Council of the EU, highlighting the presidency’s importance for Croatia.
Pavlova transferred Bulgaria’s experiences, in particular those concerning organisation, management and communication.
During her visit, Pavlova delivered a presentation at the Europe House on the Bulgarian presidency for civil servants, representatives of the civil society and the press.
Croatia is to take over the presidency of the Council of the EU from Finland in the second half of 2020.
