FM Pejčinović Burić attends celebration of Czechoslovakia’s 100th anniversary

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić attended 27 October 2018 in Prague, on behalf of Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, a ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia.

At the invitation of Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, senior officials of the EU member states gathered in Prague, including prime ministers Peter Pellegrini of Slovakia, Xavier Bettel of Luxembourg and Mateusz Morawiecki of Poland as well as foreign ministers Miro Cerar of Slovenia and Teodor Melascanu of Romania. During lunch, they discussed current European and global foreign policy matters.

The event was held at Kramář’s Villa, built by the First Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia, Karel Kramář.

Pejčinović Burić signed a commemorative book, wishing that the Czech and Slovak peoples continue to build stable and strong societies in peace and prosperity. The ceremony was continued with the inauguration of the reconstructed building of the National Museum, which was attended by Czech President Miloš Zeman.
