Officials of the Croatian Embassy to Serbia 8 August visited the 13 Croatian citizens detained in a Belgrade district prison.
The arrested men confirmed that they were fine. None of them requested consular assistance or asked the embassy to contact members of their families. They are expected to be brought before the relevant judicial bodies today and tomorrow.
On 9 August, the embassy officials are expected to visit another 14 Croatian football fans detained in the Padinska Skela correctional facility.
The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs will, in accordance with international regulations, continue to closely monitor the situation and provide consular assistance to all detained Croatian citizens who request it, remaining available for communication with their families.
