Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Marija Pejčinović Burić 25 June 2018 in Strasbourg attended a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
Pejčinović Burić the programme of Croatia’s presidency of the Council’s Committee of Ministers and, as current chair, reported on the Committee’s activities.
During her stay in Strasbourg, the minister also held several meetings in various formats discussing a possible reform of the Council and items on PACE’s agenda. She expressed Croatia’s willingness as chair to contribute to dialogue aimed at resolving outstanding issues.
Pejčinović Burić also held talks with PACE’s new president Liliane Maury-Pasquier and Council Secretary-General Thorbjorn Jagland, discussing key issues related to dealing with current challenges and future activities of the Council.
