State Secretary Bušić attends Ukraine Reform Conference

State Secretary for Political Affairs Zdravka Bušić 27 June 2018 in Copenhagen attended the Ukraine Reform Conference, which saw representatives of the EU, NATO and G7 member states, as well as civil society and private sector. The conference was organized by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following the success of the first Ukraine Reform Conference held 2017 in London. Opening remarks were delivered by the prime ministers of Denmark and Ukraine.   

Bušić applauded the host’s support to Ukraine in combating corruption, underlining the country’s progress in said area, notably the passing of the act on establishing the High Anti-Corruption Court. She highlighted Croatia’s understanding for the challenges Ukraine faced along its path of implementing reforms and approaching the Euro-Atlantic structures.

The state secretary also numerous bilateral meeting on areas of joint interest as well as the activities undertaken by the Croatia-Ukraine Cooperation Working Group and other joint projects planned for the near future. Croatia and Ukraine are two friendly countries cooperating closely on political, economic and humanitarian level.

Next year, the Ukraine Reform Conference will be held in Canada.
