Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 20 April 2018 met with members of the Croat community in Toronto.
Croatian Canadians, more than 250,000 of them, are an important link between the two countries and a potential for promoting economic relations. The Croat community has helped Croatia in all crucial moments, from the gaining of independence to establishing bilateral relations, and still plays a vital role in the advancement of the two countries’ political and economic relations.
In that, an important and active part is played by the Canadian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce, which gathers businesspeople, professionals and organizations, and aims at promoting investment and expanding economic cooperation between Canada and Croatia.
