FM Pejčinović Burić pays official visit to Kosovo

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 13-14 March 2018 was on an official visit to the Republic of Kosovo

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 13-14 March 2018 was on an official visit to the Republic of Kosovo.

While in Pristina, Pejčinović Burić met with her host, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kosovo Behgjet Pacolli, Assembly Chairman Kadri Veseli and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.

Pejčinović Burić and her collocutors discussed continued development of bilateral relations and strengthening of cooperation, notably in the area of economy. They exchanged opinions about European topics, regional cooperation and the current situation in Kosovo. The Croatian foreign minister underscored Croatia’s support for Kosovo’s EU integration. Through technical assistance, Croatia will continue to support the strengthening of Kosovo’s institutions as well as the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement and the European Reform Agenda, in order to help Kosovo achieve progress on its European path in accordance with the new EU Strategy for the Western Balkans.

In Janjevo, Pejčinović Burić met with representatives of the Croat minority, led by Father Matej Palić, who informed her about their working and living conditions, and the problems they faced. She also visited members of the Croatian Armed Forces, who as part of the 26th contingent are participating in NATO’s peace support mission in Kosovo and talked with KFOR Commander, Major General Salvatore Cuoci.
