Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 2 February 2018 received on inaugural visit the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Croatia, Fakhraddin Gurbanov.
The two officials underlined the good relations between Croatia and Azerbaijan, expressing a wish for intensifying cooperation even further, notably in the area of economy and tourism. In regards to the EU, Pejčinović Burić applauded the outcome of the Eastern Partnership summit and the intensification of the EU-AZ relations through the Cooperation Council.
The Croatian FM wished the Azerbaijani ambassador a warm welcome and a successful term of office.
