State Secretary for Political Affairs Zdravka Bušić 24 January 2018 received on inaugural visit Elizabeth Marianne Petrovic, Australia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Croatia.
The two officials agreed that the bilateral relations between Croatia and Australia were on a high level. The last year saw intensification in the relations through a series of reciprocal high-level visits, including a visit by the Croatian president to Australia in August.
They confirmed the same goals as regards cooperation in economy, education, science, fighting climate change and strengthening multilateral cooperation, underscoring the role of the large Croatian diaspora in Australia in the strengthening of bilateral relations.
Bušić thanked Petrovic for the past cooperation, expressing Croatia’s commitment to further advancement of relations with Australia.
