Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić, as the envoy of Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, laid a wreath at the Jewish section of Zagreb's Mirogoj Cemetery to mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The International Holocaust Remembrance Day is observed on 27 January, the day when in 1945, 7500 inmates of the Auschwitz concentration camp were liberated.
By commemorating victims of the Holocaust, the Republic of Croatia rejects the denial of its tragedy and condemns all forms of intolerance, threats or violence towards persons or communities based on ethnicity or religion.
